Job Overview:

Partner with business owners to understand new business opportunities and define business processes. Using SAFe methodology, deliver high quality business requirements for the purpose of completing the design, coding, testing, and implementation phases of the project life cycle.



Major Accountabilities:

Foster a culture of dedication, teamwork, problem solving, and continuous improvement
Collaborate with project stakeholders including process owners to identify and complete high level product requirements
Ability to drive meetings and ask the right questions to identity all necessary project requirements
Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Work closely with testers, developers and business requesters identifying data needs in the design of new/enhanced systems
Communicate business requirements in the form of SAFe methodology user stories
Ability to consult as needed with all key stakeholders, including senior management
Engage with business owner to prioritize all user stories and facilitate user acceptance testing
Ensure development objectives are accomplished; user testing is performed; and customer notification is prepared in a timely fashion
Support troubleshooting, defect management and root cause analysis where applicable to technical solution.
Adhere to design, usability, and agile development methodology standards including the use of testing acceptance criteria
Ensure timely and accurate communication with project staff throughout the life cycle of the project
Ensure methodology compliance; document problem areas and coordinate resolutions; reporting to management as necessary
Investigate/research industry business/technical process


Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred


Must Haves:

Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem resolution skills
Strong understanding of software methodologies (i.e. functionality & limitations)
Proven track record of collaboration within diverse teams (technical, business, etc.)
Self-starter, able to work independently to achieve goals
Able to engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously


Knowledge / Experience:

Strong knowledge of core processes preferred
Thorough knowledge of systems / applications / tools preferred
5+ years of financial services experience preferred
3+ years of Business Analyst experience required
Knowledge of Agile or SAFe project methodology required
Experience in process mapping required
